DescriptionEishoji’s Butsuden enshrines an Amida Triad centered on Amida Nyorai. Known as Kamakura’s only nunnery, Eishoji has a gentle, composed atmosphere somewhat different from temples associated with the warrior class. The Amida Triad quietly receives prayers for the Pure Land, and together with the impression of the bamboo grove and seasonal flowers throughout the grounds creates a peaceful Buddhist spot.
