DescriptionThis wooden standing Amida Nyorai is preserved at Otakiyama Saihoin. The Bizen City Board of Education designated it a municipal cultural property on August 24, 2020, recognizing it as an important and accomplished example from the late Heian period, dating to the first half of the 12th century. It is normally closed to the public but is specially shown each year during the Hydrangea Festival. In 2026, the festival runs from June 13 to 21, when the image can be viewed.
