Description

The Eleven-Faced Kannon Bosatsu is the principal image of Yomeirazu Kannon-in. The temple is known for a faith centered on prayers for living a healthy and happy life without becoming a burden on others in old age. The grounds may be visited freely on ordinary days, but the principal image is normally hidden and is unveiled during the annual Spring Equinox and Autumn Equinox festivals. The festivals are generally held from around 9:00 to 16:00, drawing many worshippers who come to pray before the image.
