Description

The principal image of Daisenji’s main hall is Jizo Bosatsu. The statue was transferred from the former main shrine during the Meiji-period separation of Buddhism and Shinto, preserving the history of Mount Daisen as a major center of Jizo devotion. The present wooden main hall was rebuilt in 1951 and is open from April through November, offering a distinct worship setting from the Amida Hall and Reihokaku Museum.
