Description

Sokujō-in, a subtemple of Sennyū-ji, is revered as a devotional space described as a Pure Land in this world. In the main hall, Amida Nyorai is surrounded by twenty-five bodhisattvas in the act of descending to welcome the faithful to the Pure Land. The temple is also associated with the warrior Nasu no Yoichi. Within its quiet grounds, visitors can feel embraced by a vision of salvation and peace.
