DescriptionSokujoin, a sub-temple of Sennyu-ji, is known for a devotional space sometimes described as a Pure Land in this world. In the Main Hall, Amida Nyorai is surrounded by Twenty-Five Bosatsu shown descending to welcome the faithful into the Pure Land. Also associated with the warrior Nasu no Yoichi, the quiet temple offers an atmosphere of salvation and peace.
