DescriptionIn the left inner sanctuary of Henjoin Temple's main hall stands a monumental Amida Nyorai of joroku scale. Hekinan City's official tourism site describes it as the 'Joroku Daibutsu,' transferred from Reiganji Temple in Fukagawa, Edo. The standing image reaches the traditional height of one jo and six shaku and is displayed separately from the temple's principal Amida image. Visitors can encounter this enormous Amida at close range, and the official tourism guide states that no reservation is required, making it a particularly accessible monumental Buddhist image in Hekinan.
