DescriptionSekiganji Temple preserves a wooden seated Aizen Myoo dating to the Kamakura period and designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan. It is normally kept in a cultural-property storehouse and closed to the public, but is shown at the temple treasure exhibition every November 23. In 2026, for the temple’s 1,300th-anniversary special opening, it is also scheduled to be shown from 10:00 to 15:00 on November 21, 22, 23, 28 and 29, allowing visitors to choose one of the announced public viewing days.
