DescriptionNyoirin Kannon Bosatsu is enshrined as the principal image of Rokkakudo Hall at Naritasan Shinkyuji Temple. The six-armed figure holds a wish-fulfilling jewel, prayer beads, lotus, and Dharma wheel; the first right hand rests against the cheek in contemplation, while the first left hand hangs toward the ground. A Nyoirin Kannon goma service is held in Rokkakudo Hall at 13:00 on the 18th of every month, but the principal image is normally hidden from public view. It is unveiled only during the annual festival at 13:00 on September 18, when general visitors can worship the image directly.
