DescriptionTsubosakadera’s Main Hall enshrines a seated Eleven-Faced Thousand-Armed Kannon Bosatsu as its principal image. Affectionately known as the Kannon of the Eyes, the deity has long been closely associated with prayers for healing eye diseases. Its large, serene form combines Kannon’s compassion for suffering with the strength of a figure that has received people’s wishes over many generations. Together with the stone Buddhist images and open mountain views throughout the grounds, it creates a bright sense of peace.
