Description

Saihoji Temple preserves a bronze standing Amida triad in the Zenkoji style. According to Tochigi Prefecture, it is traditionally said to imitate the principal image of Zenkoji Temple in Nagano, and stylistic features such as the gaze of Amida Nyorai suggest a date around the end of the Kamakura period. The central Amida figure is 44.5 cm high. The triad was designated a Tangible Cultural Property of Tochigi Prefecture in 1990. Tochigi Prefecture lists it as open at all times.
