Description

The principal image of Todoroki Fudoson, located above Todoroki Valley, is Fudo Myoo. Temple tradition says that Kogyo Daishi carried an image of Fudo Myoo, traditionally attributed to En no Gyoja, into the Kanto region and enshrined it after finding a valley matching a vision from a dream. The deity continues to attract prayers for fulfillment of wishes, protection from misfortune, and good relationships. Regular goma fire rituals are held at 14:00 on the 15th and 28th of each month and on weekends and public holidays. The temple’s official FAQ states that anyone may freely enter the Main Hall to worship, making it an accessible and well-known Buddhist stop near Todoroki Valley.
