DescriptionA standing Yakushi Nyorai is enshrined in the Yakushi Hall of Toseiji Temple in Fujisawa, Ichinoseki. The Yakushi Festival is held every April 6; following worship at the Founder's Hall and a children's procession, visitors can worship in the Yakushi Hall from 10:00. A Kanbutsue ceremony celebrating the Buddha's birth is also held in the Main Hall, showing that local Buddhist devotion remains active today. With a clearly defined annual viewing day and actual access to the Yakushi image, this is a practical destination for Buddhist worship.
