DescriptionNakano Fudoson’s Main Hall enshrines Yakuyoke Fudo Myoo. One of Tohoku’s leading Fudo temples for prayers against misfortune and calamity, the grounds contain three Fudo Myoo images in the Main Hall, Prayer Hall and Inner Sanctuary. The Fudo in the Main Hall, at the center of this devotion, conveys the power to cut through delusion and disaster, filling the hall with a taut atmosphere of prayer. Behind the affectionate local name “Nakano no Ofudosama” lies the severity and dignity of a powerful guardian deity.
