Description

Seikan-ji stands in a secluded valley of Higashiyama, where its main hall enshrines an Eleven-Headed Kannon. Set apart from the crowds of nearby Kiyomizu-dera, the temple is also associated with Kogō no Tsubone, a beloved consort of Emperor Takakura, whose memorial tomb stands nearby.
