DescriptionThe head temple of Komyo Nenbutsu Shingon Shoshu stands on the southern foot of Mt. Kizan. Fudo Myoo is enshrined in the Main Hall, while Zenpo Hall houses a vividly painted wooden Giant Fudo Myoo by Houn Nishida, measuring about 6 meters high and 7 meters wide. The grounds also include one of western Japan’s largest five-story pagodas and a circuit modeled on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, offering visitors a sacred landscape shaped by Shugendo practice.
